"Willow and my son <name was removed> are doing well. A couple of weeks ago I woke up to the sound of Willow barking frantically--my son had climbed out a window in the dining room. Willow figured that out from her crate in my son's room. She's done that a few other times when my son had slipped out.
When my son is in the back yard with my ex-wifes dog my son doesn't climb over the fence. We're thinking that maybe he has generalized from "i can't climb over the fence with Willow tethered to me" to "I don't go over the fence if there is a dog in the yard." Which is really amazing."

"We cannot say enough about the hard work and dedication that Vicki Pingel has put forth in regards to placing our service dog with our son. She communicated regularly with us throughout the process of raising our dog, providing regular training updates and answering every random question I came up with no matter how tedious. Vicki made sure I understood the personalities and characteristics of different breeds and worked tirelessly searching both rescues and breeders until a match was found. When that match turned out to be a labradoodle, she made me aware of breed specific training issues she has seen in her placement ahead of time and has been there for us every time we have had a question.
Vicki became more than a trainer to us, she became a friend. We have laughed together, cried together and gotten tough with each other when we have needed to. Her services do not stop at placement, she is there for the long haul. Although additional training services beyond the contract provisions may become necessary, she goes out of her way to handle as much as she can over the phone or email without the hefty hourly rates other organization have charged. When we recently needed professional help with integration into our sons school, we hired Vicki to travel to our area and spend several intense days working with the staff and our son. Vicki was very professional, even in the face of opposition by others, and helped get everyone on the track they needed to be on to help our son and his dog succeed. Her fees for such a necessary service were very reasonable and in fact even the school principal told her to give herself a raise. Vicki and her husband and business partner Loren care deeply about the success of these children and their service dogs. Vicki is also not afraid to tell it like it is as some aspects of the early months with your service dog are tiring and difficult. However Vicki will be the first to pat you on the back, tell you she is proud of you and remind you of the great things you can do for your child through these dogs. "...Recently we decided to adopt a dog for the benefit of our oldest son, who displays symptoms often associated with Asperger's Syndrome. This was our first exposure with Vicki Pingel. We didn't just buy a dog, we adopted a family companion that had been wonderfully pre-trained to deal with our boisterous household and our child's unique needs.
